Rol-oorsig

Jy sal die leiding neem in die koördinering en uitvoering van alle instandhoudingsfunksies om maksimum "uptime", veiligheid en regulatoriese nakoming te verseker. Jy sal nou saamwerk met takbestuurders en operasionele spanne om te verseker dat instandhouding beplan, gemonitor en voortdurend verbeter word.

Sleutelverantwoordelikhede

• Tegniese Leierskap: Bestuur instandhoudingspanne en kontrakteurs oor alle takke. Ontwikkel en handhaaf voorkomende instandhoudingskedules vir vloeibare chemiese-stelsels, produksie masjiene, kompressors, verkoelingstelsels en drukvate.

• Stelselbestuur (UpKeep): Neem volle eienaarskap van die UpKeep-stelsel vir werkskaartbeheer, geskiedenisrekords en die bestuur van kritieke onderdele-voorraad.

• Probleemoplossing: Lei ondersoeke na toerustingfoute, voer worteloorsaak-ontledings (root cause analysis) uit en implementeer verbeterings om staantyd te verminder.

• Veiligheid & Nakoming: Verseker dat alle werk voldoen aan OHS-vereistes en regulasies vir druktoerusting (PER) en gevaarlike materiale.

• Koördinering: Lei en deelname aan daaglikse operasionele vergaderings en weeklikse tegniese oorsigte om risiko's en prioriteite te bestuur.

• Takhulp: Reis na nasionale takke vir oudits, opleiding van plaaslike spanne en ondersteuning tydens groot herstelwerk.

Vereistes

• Kwalifikasies: Gekwalifiseerde Ambagsman (Meganies / Elektries / Verkoeling). ’n Tegniese diploma of verdere kwalifikasie in ingenieurswese sal ’n sterk aanbeveling wees.

• Ondervinding: Minimum 10 jaar ondervinding in industriële aanleg-instandhouding en die bestuur van tegniese spanne oor verskeie persele.

• Sektor-kennis: Ondervinding in gas-, verkoelings-, kriogeniese of proses-industrieë is ’n groot voordeel.

• Vaardighede: Sterk kennis van voorkomende instandhoudingstelsels, foutopsporing en industriële veiligheid.

Ligpos Recruitment Agency is seeking a highly experienced and practical National Technical Foreman for a leading industrial organization. This is a pivotal role responsible for the reliability and maintenance of all production facilities and equipment across six operational sites nationwide.

Location: Head Office in Pretoria (Travel to branches required).Reporting to: General Manager.

Role Overview

You will take the lead in coordinating and executing all maintenance functions to ensure maximum uptime, safety, and regulatory compliance. You will work closely with branch managers and operations teams to ensure that maintenance is planned, monitored, and continuously improved.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Manage maintenance teams and contractors across all branches. Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules for liquid chemical systems, production machinery, compressors, refrigeration systems, and pressure vessels.

• Systems Management (UpKeep): Take full ownership of the UpKeep system for job card control, history records, and critical spare parts inventory management.

• Problem Solving: Lead investigations into equipment failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement improvements to minimize downtime.

• Safety & Compliance: Ensure all work complies with OHS requirements and regulations for pressure equipment (PER) and hazardous materials.

• Coordination: Lead and participate in daily operational meetings and weekly technical reviews to manage risks and priorities.

• Site Support: Travel to national branches for audits, training of local teams, and support during major repairs.

Requirements

• Qualifications: Qualified Artisan (Mechanical / Electrical / Refrigeration). A technical diploma or further engineering qualification will be a strong recommendation.

• Experience: Minimum of 10 years’ experience in industrial plant maintenance and managing technical teams across multiple sites.

• Sector Knowledge: Experience in gas, refrigeration, cryogenic, or process industries is a significant advantage.

• Skills: Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance systems, fault finding, and industrial safety.
